April 29th through June 11th
Opening Reception: April 29th from 6-9pm
The art of creating landscapes can “serve as a platform for exploring the process of contemporary seeing,” says artist Peter Roux. “Paintings of things are, of course, not the things themselves but rather signifiers, explorations of experience. This holds true for visual language in all forms- implied realism to “pure” abstraction. “ Group exhibition “Variable Reality” will include such explorations of nature and space by seven contemporary artists, each with a unique vision, manifested through varying degrees of abstraction.
“Variable Reality” will include work by long time gallery artist Doug Kacena, and introduce six others. Local artists Mark Bueno, Shannon Neumann and John Haley will make their Mike Wright Gallery debut while Peter Roux, Hollis Heichemer and Emma Lindstrom are new to both the gallery and to the Denver art scene.
